PARKERSBURG W.VA (WTAP)- The West Virginia Batman of Heroes 4 Higher gave 6 year old Khloe Casto a ride in the Batmobile as a “hope injection” over the weekend.

With her family present to witness, the first grader battling leukemia enjoyed meeting the superhero and hearing his message that “tough things make us stronger”.

He also encouraged Khloe to use what she’s going through to positively impact the lives of others. Khloe’s family is grateful for the support that Khloe is receiving.

“I’m really overwhelmed by it in a really positive way. The outreach, especially from someone like Batman, for Khloe is really amazing. She love superheroes and ever since she found out that she is sick she’s been, you know, really sad and just missing out on little girl things, dance, school, friends, and so just being able to get out every once in a while and do something special like this means a lot to her,” says Sara Casto, Khloe’s mother.

Khloe was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in August of this year.
