How ATG Slots and Offer Management Work Together

slot

Slot is an online game of chance that has become a worldwide phenomenon. It is known for its simplicity and ease of play, as well as its potential to yield significant winnings. However, it is important for players to understand the game’s rules and payout structure before they begin playing. Moreover, players should always keep their bankroll in mind when playing slots.

In sports, the term “slot” refers to the position on a team’s offensive line or in a receiver’s position. The slot is the player that lines up between the offensive tackle and the wide receiver. This position is often occupied by quick players that can catch the ball or run with it. The cornerback that covers this position is called the slot corner.

In ATG Personalization, slots and scenarios work together to provide dynamic content to the Service Center. A slot is a placeholder that either waits for content (a passive slot) or calls out for it using an Add Items to Slot action or a targeter (an active slot). In general, each slot is designed for one type of content and can only be filled with content from the Solutions repository or a Renderer. For more information about how slots and renderers work together, see the Using Slots chapter in the ATG Personalization Programming Guide. Several slot properties are of particular importance when working with offer management. See below for more details.
